Family Computer 1983 - 1994 only mentions a disk version.

Which reminds me, I can tell from the index of the book which games got officially released on a disk and a cart.  Have we compiled this already?

JC

No. That might be a helpful list to have. Thanks for the info on the game...another FDS port!

Anyone recognize this Dragon Ball game? HERE

EDIT: What about this one: HERE.

UglyJoe

I found a rom of the DBZ 5 game.  The gameplay proves it's a pirate (not to mention the fact that the game's dialog is in Chinese :P).  The graphics are pretty good though.  I'd bet that most of them are lifted from the other (legit) DBZ games.

The second one is Rollergames.  Doesn't look like it ever had a Japanese release, so I guess that makes it special.

Thanks, UglyJoe.

I can't figure out the second game. Anyone seen it before?

UglyJoe

It's Doraemon.  If you let the game sit at the title screen for a while, it'll show you that exact screen.

Jabra

Can you tell me the official name of this game ?

A race that contains 2 cars....the screen is divided into 2 parts consentarting on the car that is wining.....when the 2 cars are on the same point the screen is not divided....I think the 1st player car is red,,,,and I think the game is made by Konami.

It would be better if you inseret a picture of the cart !

Jabra

No, it's not road fighter !  It's a race between 2 cars .... and the screen is divided....I'm not sure if the car is red....also I'm not sure if it is made by Konami !

Couldn't find the old post so I just throw:

I tested my Famicom at our cottage, but couldn't get it to work at all.  I did notice that the yellow cartridge was supposed to have 765 games.

Through a Youtube video I was able to regonize many of my old games, but I believe there are still some left. One was a 4 (or 3 or 5 or 6) in a row style game with yellowish board and white and black buttons. Another one was a fighting game with a castle, a knight and some knight or monster.

Any help?

JC

I don't think I can make out the games from those descriptions.

Anyone know these:

Maybe a Koei game?

2 in 1 -- I think they're both Datach, with the second being the Datach pack-in Dragon Ball Z?

UglyJoe

First one is Sangokushi II: Haou no Tairiku.  (it's Namco, btw)

The next two are a Yuu Yuu Hakusho game and a DBZ game.

The title screen for the Yuu Yuu Hakusho is pretty different from the Datach game.  But, the Datach game is the only official Yuu Yuu Hakusho game for the Famicom.  So, from the title screen alone, I dunno if it's just a title screen hack or if it's a different game altogether.

The DBZ screenshot is a hack of the Datach DBZ game title screen.  The copyright info has been removed.

JC

Thanks. I'm confident that the Yuu Yuu Hakusho game is, in fact, the Datach game. Because after I select the game it shows a half-removed "Datach." I was hoping it was a unique game, but I guess not. Oh well, to the sale bin both carts go...

BTW: I was confident Sangokushi II: Haou no Tairiku was Koei, but perhaps I was mistranslating the title of Koei game.

UglyJoe

There are two series of games for the Famicom based on Sangokushi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms).  One is by Koei and one is by Namco.  So, there are two games called Sangokushi II.  The one with the subtitle following it is the Namco version.

JC

What game is this, and do they really have "FW" written on their chests? HERE
