looked it up at japangamestock, and it's puyo puyo! I'll probably just keep it unless anyone is interested.

Anyone recognize these, from a multicart? Without a light gun, I can't get them to start, it seems:

The list shows them as "Venture and Stars" and the title screen reads, of course, "Fantasy of Gun 1992"

Looks pretty original for me. And undumped ;(

then again.. those screens look suspiciously lik duck hunt and clay shooting hacks behind them.

"Risa no Yousei Densetsu" or something like "Risa's Fairy Legend" translated to English.

FamicomFreak

WOW I love that cover art! OMG how much does this game goes for?

It's affordable.
There's a new, unopened copy of this game on YHJ now for 3000 Yen with no bids.
One with disk only is 380 Yen.

scan barcodes to use it's data as game various game parameters

famiac

umm what exactly does this do?

UglyJoe

There's a couple of games for it.  They're small cartridges that plug into the Datach unit (which is plugged into the FC).  The barcode reader is used to, well, read barcodes.  The games read the barcode data and use it to enhance character stats or whatever.

This was actually a pretty big deal in Japan at the time (not necessarily the Datach reader, but other barcode-reader toys).  There were books and everything that would say which products' barcodes worked the best.  Similar toys were released in the US, but it never really caught on.

OHHHHHH.... COOOOL!

Thanks uglyjoe

I'm pretty sure this was on the NES/Famicom, and not on some other console, but I'm not sure.

It was a game that involved monsters
The Japanese release had red blood on the title screen, and the American version was changed to green (I think)
One of the versions was missing half of the first level.

What is this game?
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Monster Party

I don't believe the Japanese version was ever released.
