It's probably just Super Mario Bros, I'd guess.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

I'll second nightstar's "belief." It matches the title screen of my copy of SD Hero Soukessen.
Can Nintendo Age Beat Every NES Game in 2015?

I'll confirm the belief.  ;D

The files are in a zip file.

Hi.  Not only do I not know what game this is.  Also, this game also freezes up after 5- 15 minutes of playing.  Could this be because of an unclean cartridge, or is it just programmed really badly or (became) defective?

This was reposted since I didn't have a pic for the longest time. Then when I was able to add one up, it appeared as if it was answered in the thread.  Does anybody out there know?
Thank you.

It's Hiryu no Ken III.
And it's a pirate cart, that's probably why it doesn't work properly.  ;D

Hello, Famicomworld users!

I have been looking through my old PCBs for Famicom (no cartridge case, only PCBs are left) and found one game that I can't identify at all.
The title screen of it is below this post.

From what I can tell, it's a Japanese version of some game, created by Konami. Unfortunately, I don't have a cartridge case for this, only PCB board.

I hope you can help me to identify what is the name of this game, and was it released on NES in USA or Europe.

This isn't a game identification, but an accessories one. I think this is the best place to put my post, but if not, please advise.

I recently bid on and won an eBay auction for a Sega Saturn and a whole bunch of controllers and random assorted cables. I assumed that these accessories would be for the saturn itself, but this turned out to be wrong. There were 2 saturn light guns, 4 odd looking controllers, and a megadrive arcade stick. The controllers had weird ports on them, but I swore I had seen them before. I went over to my famicom and sure enough, they fit into the expansion slot thing on the front. They both have no serial/model numbers, but they have the same symbol. If it is unclear in the pics, the symbol is two fists with punching gloves punching each other, with Chinese (or Japanese, sorry I'm bad at identifying this) characters around the ring.

I might be wrong, but I assume that these controllers were made by Subor company that also producted their own Famicom clone that looked just like a real HVC-001 Famicom and clones that would look like a keyboard for PC. Here it's some information about it on BootlegGames Wiki: http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Subor

"Konami Sports in Seoul", it was released in the U.S. and Europe as "Track & Field II"

Thank you very much, Nightstar699, for quick reply :)
Now I know what's the name of this game. Will check out its US/European version as well.  ;D

Hi All,

I just registered for this forum so apologies if this is in the wrong thread (although looks like the right one to me).

I just purchased a Famicom Disk System (yay!). I picked up this game with the console and was hoping for some insight -

What is Tonkachi Mario? It seems to translate to Hammer Mario, but I can't find any information about a Hammer Mario game in any Nintendo or Mario wiki resource. Is it another name for Kaettikita Mario or something different? Thanks so much for any info.

I believe I've answered my own question!

I found this note on a FDS price spreadsheet:

Machine code editor for FDS games. Came with programming tutorial; also included 'Tonkachi Mario' hack. ; トンカチエディター ; Made by Aistu, makers of Souseiki Fami and other FDS hacking tools

On the reverse side of Tonkachi Editor; A hacked version of 'Super mario Bros.'; details for hacking SMB are included with Tonkachi (in the manual and other publications that followed).

So, for the benefit of anyone else who might stumble up the term Tonkachi Mario (Hammer Mario) on ebay, it's a hacked version of SMB1 included as a B side of the Tonkachi Editor.

The spreadsheet also lists the Tonkachi release date as Jul 1 1987. I bought my Tonkachi disk on Jul 1 2013, 26 years to the day   ;D
