I never painted a console before but this is what i did to my Sharp Twin Famicom.
I thought it came out nice. I just wanted to post something cool. ;D

Doesn't look bad, but I wouldn't touch my Twin with paint--they're worth too much to mess around with in my opinion.

I like that better than the original! (Twin, not original Famicom  :P)
Sorry folks.

MS-DOS4

I love it. I still have plans to paint my NES with Famicom World colors and I made a post about it a year ago, but still haven't quite gotten too it yet.

Need some printable sticker paper, and I'm defiantly going to scrap that famicom slot idea.

I suppose it depends which one you start with.  I personally prefer what a black Twin looks like (I also have the original box for mine, so I suppose that gives additional reason not to paint it)...

I personally like the original better since paint has a tendency to scrape and chip off. It looks like it's already been scraped a bit by the Disk System/Cartridge selector switch. If I had a painted one, I'd have to be too delicate with it. I already know that's not gonna happen.  :P  If you like it better painted, more power to you. Any reason you didn't opt to paint the controllers, too?

There is no scrapes on it yet......LOL. I didnt paint the controllers because im going to replace them with original Famicom controllers to give it that original Famicom feel.
I thought it was a cool idea to paint it. ;D

I gotta admit that it looks pretty schweet that way, and I'm not usually a fan of console paint jobs. ;)

True, but if you use the right kind of paint for the material and from a decent brand it'll end up pretty nice and scratch resistant.
I tend to use the cheapest regular spray paint I could find and my results are always horrid and delicate as heck. ::)

i used Krylon Fusion plastic spray paint. it becomes chip resistant after 14 days. its good stuff and only four dollars a can, so only two colors so this only cost me 8 dollars. this is the first time i painted a console and it seems perfect but thats just me
im glad everyone has an opinion about it some hate it some like it. ;D ;D ;D

Very nice job! It's a shame that original TwinFCs didn't came in these colors :)

I'd like to do this to my yellowing SNES. Any tips you can provide to help the process?

NintendoKing

You should clear coat it with 3 - 6 layers of clear coat; then you will not have to really worry about scrapes. Also very nice paint job on it.

You should have painted the cartridge doors red, other than that nice colour scheme!
