This and the Paper Mario Cart looks more like "reproduction" carts than pirates.

The desing is very like the official famicom ones , where are they from?

JC

I agree. It looks like a repro made from a ROM hack. I've never seen it before, so I doubt it was manufactured in some large quantity, but probably made by some fan.

Any idea what the B | S | O (Ball? Strike? Out? maybe) is for? And is Mario throwing baseballs? Since there is no world/level indicator, maybe it's just one level...

JC

Gotta be ball, strike, out. Because he's definitely throwing baseballs. I'm curious what follows "BY" on the title screen...

I had that ROM hack and several others from the same author about 9 years ago, when I was totally into emulation.
Here's another one from the same guy: Kamikaze Mario. He identifies himself as "79" (prolly because of the different ways to pronounce Japanese numbers).

Strider, if you want something that's stupidly frustrating, I've got the thing for you.

That is by far the most frustrating Mario hack I have ever played.  If you want the ROM and can't find it yourself, send me a PM.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

That is an amazing cart. Def some kind of repro, Id love to own this (or even find the R0m for that matter, and make my own)!!! FYI, Mario is playing with the Hanshin Tigers and he is hunting Giabbit (Yomiuri Giants Mascot, Tigers main rival) in this game! SO COOL!!!!!!!  ;D

Lum

How goofy! Don't much care about Hanshin Tigers, but as a Lum fan I have that one figurine with the flag. :upsetroll:

It's a right hair-puller to play... The game gives you plenty of free lives, but you need them: It's essentially impossible, and I'm not even certain that it has an ending.

I couldn't quite work out how the scorecard worked either, but the game is positively bizarre and has a sense of charm from how mind-bogglingly twisted it is. :bomb:
