Update: I'm offering a $250 bounty on the controllers (not  on the pinout, which I can always deduce myself), for those who are holding out. :)

I need to find at least one controller for the Sharp C1. It doesn't even have to work, as I need it for technical reference.

Correct pinouts would be useful if anybody has any so that I can make a couple in case nobody has any to sell. It would save me the trouble to disassembling the monitor and hand-tracing the connection paths...

For those who don't know, the C1 uses modular controllers with a mini-din style connector, instead lf the FC DA-15 or NES style ports.

You can view this oddity at:

Obviously, I am willig to pay a good price for one, or more than one. I'd prefer at least one of each colour for my collection though, and I'd especially like a set (P1/P2) to match my 14CC1F (silvery type), but the red ones are very slick too, and as I plan to get a 15CC1R someday, they'd come in handy. It can be any of the three colours though.

If I have one, I can make more for the community for those with a C1 that need an affordable controller that works with every FC game. (Not all games work via the DA-15 expansion port.)

If you have one to sell, or know the pinout, please contact me. Thanks!

These are rare and very hard to find in my experience.  Japan_Games found me a new and unused one, I've not seen many others.

Maybe give him a shout so he can pick one up on his Akiba travels.

Thanks, I'll give him a try. Is the controller that he found for you boxed or bagged, and is it red or silver-tan?

May I pester you to post its factory part number and possibly some photos? I'm compiling a catalogue of all known Nintendo part numbers, so at the least I can add it to the registry.

It came in the official box, with a number on I think.  Can't remember if there was a baggy, think not, just a Sharp cardboard box.  If/when I can find it amongst the stuff I will find the number for you.

Thanks!

As I said in my e-mail, if and when you find it, please take high-res photos of the box and the controller (all possible angles) so that I can include it in the archives.
