It's a backup device/copier. You can use it to play roms through 3.5" floppies. Old-school SNES PowerPak, if you will, but more cumbersome. :P

Thanks for the info...cumbersome eh...i think it would be pretty cool, wonder how many games can fit on a disk. where can i buy some now heeh.

Well, your average 3.5" holds exactly 1.44 MB so you're looking at only 1 game per disk, and since a lot of games are over the 1 MB mark you don't have many games to choose from. Perhaps it uses a special compressed format to fit those larger games on the disk?

Or simply spanning a large game on several floppies. That brings me back memories of constant swapping of disks when 3.5" floppies were mainstream. ::)

I found someones collection pretty legit, the disc have their own labels...pretty cool. I wouldn't mind getting one now.
