-I hope that I am not beating a dead horse on this one. Buuuut.... self injury IS an actual condition defined in the DSM IV. People who often injure themselves are not out for attention, or to make anyone feel bad, or to wield influence. It is also often seen more in women than men, though the age spread is all over the place. Mostly stems from feelings of depression, anger, frustration, etc. but originate in the idea that the particular person doesn't know a better way to cope with what he/she may be feeling. It is entirely possible that this girl has issues that she can't or has not learned to express in any other way. For others though, it can be a control/coping mechanism in itself (as in feeling in control of what you are feeling through inflicting self-pain).

It's always bothered me when people say stuff like that. I mean, how interesting of a person could you possibly be to even hang out with if the only thing that justifies yourself is having a significant other? 

How old are you btw? Because if you're dating a 19 yr old then it doesn't sound like you'd be at the age where you're running away from home anymore..

I'm 17 and I only ran away to see her....I hadn't seen her a month so I missed her...

And that 19 year old girl and I are kinda holding off till I'm 18 cause she's afraid of getting in trouble if we kiss or have sex...

I guess I'll have to wait lol

I always thought the "magic" age was 14 in most parts of the world...
