Did you know that some multicarts allow you to change the number of displayed games through a series of dip switches (actually solder pads) on the board? So one board production is worth several 'XXX in 1' carts. Need some 27 in 1's ? Short solder pads 1&2! Need some 5000 in 1's? pads 2&3 will do it for you! ;D. Also the Mortal Kombat & Street Fighter carts allow you to change the title screen with this method.

Oh yeah, I experimented with this and when I get my digital camera back I'll post some results ;)

My friend Mel has a multi with about 40 or so games on it, and is seperated into two multi's which can be accessed by hitting the reset switch on the console.

Thats just two chips selected by a binary counter clocked by some line which goes high when a system reset is applied. Weird design for a multi, though.

Hey, that's kinda cool. I've heard of using reset to switch between individual games on a multicart, but I've never heard it being use to switch between lists of games.

MaxXimus

I'll try to get some pictures of it the next time I am there.

From what I remember, when you turn it on, it shows one list, then you reset it, and it shows the next list, but is all scrambled and wierd, so you have to reset it again, then it shows properly. To get back to the first list, you need to do a power off/on.

Does anybody of you know or have seen any of these carts?
I can't say what's on them, because -bad luck- I have my Twin Famicom still here, but sent the power adapter already back to Japan in the big box last week. :-[
I'll have to test them in Japan. :)

From what I hear, Platoon is just a pirate name for Contra.

manuel

That's nice.  ;D Definitely a good game there.
I wonder that's on the 2 multicarts. I could bite my ass for sending off the power adapter already. But I needed something small and heavy to make the box exactly 20kgs.

Mighty Final Fights, looks like a good game to me.

NHL is mostly used for blades of steel but I have no idea about the others except the ones already mentioned by gremlin. There could be anything in there! How much did you paid for the lot?

If I say now how much I paid I cannot rip-off you guys afterwards by selling the stuff to you. ;)
It wasn't expensive.  ;) The seller asked more for the shipping than the carts cost.  :o

Haha.  :D
After I tested those I might consider selling some or all of them, so stay tuned. ;)
