Waixing cartridges not functional on real Famicom

I received my replacement EverQuest today and just like the previous one all I get is garbled graphics. But it's okay, I will just use it as a display piece.

EverQuest must be only functional on a specific clone and not on a official Famicom or AV Famicom!



Thank you Trenton_net for sending me a replacement, I guess you can now list that some Waixing games refuse to work on official systems.

I am not planning on spending much on the clone, I will only use the clone for this one game.

Would it be functional on a NTSC tv?

yep mine is NTSC i have played them on my SONY and my SAMSUNG hdtvs and also on my tv tuner card and they all work fine

Yep.  The Pokemon Crystal pirate I bought from him doesn't work on an official system either.  I wish I would've known before I bought it since I don't have own a functional clone system, but oh well.

So the shipping to US is 15$ with priority if you want normal shipping it is 13$ but i think that 2$ is not a big difference

Sorry about my absenteeism as I've caught a nasty throat infection recently.

@The Uninvited Gremlin: I'm sorry to hear your replacement doesn't work for you. I just received your return game so I went to test it out on my Game Theory Admiral Famiclone. The return game does indeed work, but as you pointed out, it's extremely fiddly as you need to play with it to get the contacts to connect. I'm going to try for a replacement, but I dunno if they will honour it. As to your current game, it should work just fine as I was able to boot it without any trouble on my clone. I guess you'll probably just need a Famiclone as people suggested since it is true that these games are designed from the base up to work on them.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the mappers or hardware Waixing uses? It seems only a particular set of games doesn't work on real hardware, as their other games seem to work just fine. Or at least so I'm told as I've only had returns for these two games in particular (Everquest and Pokemon). <shrugs>
