I also suggest 'FamiComlete', which is a two-volume set. It's more complete and detailed than the 1983-1994 book, but has no English sections. They work quite well together. For the record, that's a bargain-price. i paid thrice that or more for my copy, before postage: They tend to sell for between 10,000 and 15,000 Yen these days.

My copies aren't for sale. I would consider lending them to a }u]trusted member[/u] here to scan, and I'm willing to host PDFs of them on my server, if anybody had the time and resources t do this. I may be able to do it myself, but not until sometime next year.

All three are OOP now, sadly. I have two more books that cover this subject... One is titled 'It Plays It: it Plays it Again'. It's presented in a DQ-style dialogue box on the cover. That book is more about the history of the more popular titles: Also non-English.

I have a fairly-sizable FC library to scan someday.

I bought Family Computer 1983-1984 new when it was released from amazon.co.jp.  I forget what the retail price was.

I would love to have a copy of FamiComplete.  I know that one of these days I'll end up spending stupid amounts of money on it.

I think the retail price was 2625 Yen (2500 Yen + 5% tax).
It's out of print now and only available used anywhere I look.

no offense, but you overpaid then...massively.   the average price on these used is around 2000 Yen, from  Amazon JP marketplace sellers and a couple other places I've seen over there.   

I was hoping to get this quickly though, from someone in the States and w/trade if possible, so I posted the wtb/wtt here.  looks like I'll probably wait until next month and buy it direct.  thanks all.

Yeah, if I could find someone who'd give me 15000 Yen for it i'd sell my copy so fast they wouldn't even see it coming o_o

I'm in the UK, shipping should be about half what it is from that Japanese auction.
