Need help playing FDS on powerpak

I have no idea how to get my fds files to work on my powerpak. It appears to already have the fds bios loaded in to the directory, but whenever i select a fds game it says bad header

help!

Fix the image header or download a different rom.

There are programs which try to fix the headers on your ROM files automatically, here are some of them: NES Utilities - Zophar's Domain
Those might be outdated though.

Most files shouldn't need fixed. I think the few I ran across that did were in the Mario Bros. series.

Download them from a different rom site, then. Or use a torrent.

Try tools like ucon64 http://ucon64.sourceforge.net/ or GoodNES (allegedly it can fix roms automatically, sorry I just googled that)

Install the fds mapper from loopy

Make sure that you only copy "f.map" and the fdsbios file from this zip onto your powerpak since the other loopy mappers don't work so great

ONE MORE QUESTION

how can i play my beloved 4 and 3 player famicom games on the powerpak. are there hacked versions of these roms that allow the 4 score to be utilized?

You can build an adapter from extension cables to use the 4 Score on a Famicom. Player 3 and Player 4 sockets won't work for Famicom games though, only Nes games.

Or are you talking about 3-4 player Famicom games? You must use the extension port for that.
