I don't have much time here on the train but the line at the top is 'Ultra-tough vertically scrolling shooting!'

- Five heavily-armed bosses
- Three levels of power-ups
- Five different option attachments

Below the red bar is roughly this, in my slightly more natural English:

This year, Naxat is holding the Summer Carnival exhibition all over Japan.  The official video game of the exhibition is back, and you're holding it!  You too can take on the challenging contest mode and see if your skills are nimble enough for Recca!

I'm not totally sure about the red bar but I think it is something like 'Who will be oppressed by summer of '92's Recca?! '

The red bar reads something like that:
Who will beat Recca in the summer of '92?!

Hahah!  I guess I've played it enough to have a more pessimistic outlook.

I own a RECCA reproduction cart that includes a English translates box and manual. If you'd like to see them let me know and I may take photos of them and upload them.

As do I I went well-overboard and bought every variation of it in fact, so I have multiple copies, including a 'regular use' copy and many virgin copies; eventually I'll build one into a FC cassette and make a reproduction Famicom label so that I have a nice-looking Recca reproduction. I'd love to have high-resolution scans of the original Recca box... I don't know where the makers of the NES reproduction found their box scans, so that I could have a repro-box made for my displays as well.

I even used the Recca reproduction in my NESpander photos (for the finished prototype), as a sly compliment to the man that out out this quality, translated reproduction.

Anyhow, it's far more logical to add images of the translated manual than to try to re-translate it, so if you feel up to the task, go ahead and add them. I can re-host them on my server (as a primary source, or as a back-up) if you desire, to avoid Photobucket nonsense.  :bomb:

Hola!  This is the best I can find right now - the back of box is translated, but you'll have to squint to read it...

And the original Japanese:

As for the manual, you'll have to find (or someone that owns it) the NES repro that was made some years back by a chap called Grant on NintendoAge:

OR, get the Virtual Console version and extract what you can (this should also be supported in Spanish)

Lucky!  Someone did that for you here it seems (but only in English):

Build one into a Famicom cassette and make a reproduction label?  And a reproduction box?  I'm sure the guys that paid for legit CIB copies of the game would love the sound of this.
