Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but where do you get the template for these? I'm having trouble finding it. Also, how do you print these on a sticker? Kinkos?

L___E___T

Just google "Mr. Splash famicom" the template I posted here is just a PNG, you want the PDF version for best results.
If you can't be bothered with that just check the first post, it's around there.

Thanks, but it looks like all the links are dead. Would anyone be able to get me the .psd template?

gcfernandez

I just create a new document in photoshop with 43.5mm height and 90mm width. Those are the exact dimensions of a standard famicom game label.

Thanks. The stickers have rounded edges. Do you guys use the rounded rectangle shape tool, or is that shape a result of the sticker paper you print on?

I'll upload the PSD template again soon, but my main computer died so I have to retrieve everything from it this week hopefully.

i print on full page sticker paper, laminate the label with clear packing tape. i cut out the label with a good rotary paper trimmer, then round the corners with a 2mm corner rounder : http://www.oregonlam.com/CR2MM_2mm_3_32_Corner_Rounder_Cutter_Punch.html

Oreanor

I always do rounded corners with scissors only, it's pretty easy.

Cool. I've never seen those rounded edge punches before. I'll have to pick one up. Thanks!

This obviously needs a lot more work, but here's something I threw together with the dimensions you provided:

gcfernandez

if you decide to buy one of those corner punches...get it from their ebay listing here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2mm-Corner-Rounder-Cutter-Hand-Held-Heavy-Duty-Steel-ID-Card-Cutting-Corners-/370683399676?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564e73cdfc

they accepted my offer of $20 when i bought mine couple months ago. they might not go that low now but should still be able to get it lower than regular price

Pemdawg

Yup. They auto-denied $20 and $25. $42 shipped just seems a lot for half of a hole punch   :-\

You can also get lamilabel from Kinkos its a laminate that that has an adhesive backing a lot of people use it to put art work on the joysticks it won't turn yellow over time like tape tends to do.

I found it, so I can post here when I get a free evening spot this week.  I'd actually like to upload the full .PSD to the site, if any mods see this and think that'd be ok?  If I can find it from the website I got it from I'll link there instead.

Actually scrap that last bit - ProjectFonline appears to be gone entirely :(
