What do you guys use to print your labels on? I have a couple carts that could use a new label  :redcart:

at staples they sell a specific "glossy photo sticker paper" it works perfect. Its a little thinner than an official label but not by much, and has the same shine. Really hard to tell the difference...some people just use regular paper and then packing tape cut to the correct size and laid over it....this is a terrible idea as the tape will eventually turn yellow and become brittle.

Packing tape does that after a few years I can confirm, at least for what I used to use.

How do you know? Did you try this yourself? Did you use acid-free tape? You seem to be against this method hardcore. ::)

I have a few pirates that they used this method for the labels, as well as an old repro that someone used tape for the label. Its just all around terrible, starts to yellow after a year-few years, its hard to lay it down without getting any bubbles, etc...just a bad idea in the long run.

jpx72 - LOOKIN' GOOD BUDDY!!!! what do you use for your labels?? is it the sticker photo paper? (thats what it looks like)

Me using adhesive label paper and a clear adhesive foil after printing. I am very satisfied with the result!
Using HP ink printer, it does make a difference when it is a big and expensive one, but the main ingredient is the adhesive foil on top. It's thicker than normal duck-tape.
Printed using the same technique: http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=6808.msg106326#msg106326

Really? :-\ I think I've been doing mine since '06, & I haven't noticed anything yet. :-\ Don't want to find out, though.

I'll start using glossy photo sticker paper if I ever make one for somebody else. What sizes do they usually come in?

Im not sure, I buy solid letter size sheets and usually print two to a single page and cut them out.

I don't like glossy as much as matte.  Print quality aint as good...

I think people choose glossy to look more like official labels, but with a glossy seal does it matter? :-\
