They look great!  What's Rockman 2 Claw?  Don't think I've heard of either of those.

Has anyone made a label they'd share for Zelda: The Legend of Link? It runs on MMC5, so the label area is a little bit larger than it is on standard FC carts.

Like that Battletoads label especially - did you use the US NES version?

No - JP version, I can live without the pause button beat  8)
Masaya logo suggests also the JP version.
US and EU had Tradewest logo on the label.

Claw is a fun hack. It has some new level designs and music - some even from Double Dragon.
Grayzone is also a hack of Rockman 2 - http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/871/

Quick question number47, how did you make your battletoads repro?

number47

CloudGamerX

ah okay. so i guess i can't just desolder and bend up pin 6 of the '161?

number47

Infact you can. If you use desoldering pump/gun or solderwick to get out all the solder. Take a few inches of 22 gauge wire, bend it to V or U shaped hook, slide the hook behind the 6th leg and gently (holding both ends of wire) drag the pin out of the hole.

awesome! I find it easier to bend up the pins anyways instead of cutting traces or breaking the pins. Can't wait to get my Battletoads on :)

Infact, here's a couple labels i made for some future repros i am making. Thanks again number47!

Is Battletoads 1 really that rare that repro labels are being accepted?

CloudGamerX

in my area, Battletoads is pretty hard to find. Mainly because resellers are buying them all up and charging above ebay prices. Plus, Battletoads repro is for my personal collection only, but i figured i would share my label to others who want to use it.

L___E___T

Battletoads Famicom is an expensive game, repros of it have some demand.  I'm not sure what you mean about acceptance - the label's different enough at least.

A game being expensive or hard to find isn't a good enough reason to make a repro, and I would hope to see such repros discouraged. I can understand repros of games that are literally impossible to acquire (like a Famicom repro of the NES-only Battletoads & Double Dragon...and even then you could just buy an adapter and play the NES cart), but otherwise no.

But that's just my $0.02 and probably more suited to another discussion.

HVC-Man

I'll toss my hat into the ring as well, here's a Battletoads & Double Dragon label I made. I modeled it after the original label for Battletoads FC.

L___E___T

I think that looks really smart - and a great game to make a repro for as well - nice one!
