I thought you had that one?  I think it's a really great find - things like this are what really make a collection stand out.

Yeah I really dig "unique" stuff like this.

Right now I've just got the famicom disk of All Night. Have yet to get one of those CIB repros.

I saw Ryo has one I think, it's the same guy making them at least it appears.

The irony being of course that the FDS version is the more desirable item to have! The repro is at it's heart still just a repro, albeit an exquisitely made one.

Yeah I know of a couple of places where I can get one. Just been more into other stuff lately.

Haha yeah for most people the official FDS version would be more valuable, but to me I "value" the repro more.  Though I'd never trade/sell my FDS copy either.

I found a spare NES controller, so took one of my spare Famicom controllers and made this:

Now I can play on my AV Famicom with a legit Famicom controller that's more comfortable AND has a longer cord.  Win-win, but it does mean I have a spare NES controller for a standard famicom now :)

Was pretty quick and easy, you don't even need a tri-wing screwdriver.

First time I've seen someone prefer the famicom controller to the AV famicom controller.  :D
NES people are often uncomfortable with the chord on the side.

That looks great L___E___T,I have done this myself with the player one controller as well.

I also did this to my player 2 controller sometime ago,it was a pain getting the nes board in the case and plus had to add some tact switches for start and select but it turned out ok.

L___E___T

I want to do the same for Player Two but I didn't know how to :(

Could you help me out?  The board is the wrong way round!  I was going to have two Player 1s...

I know,I took the board out and put a nes board inside the player 2 case.

You have to do some cutting on the inside of the case to get it to fit.

I see the tact switches (missed them first time round) - was it easy enough to do?  I might still go with the P1 version, but it would be nice if the mic could trigger start and select :)

I definitely think the Famicom controller is more ergonomic on the corners and sides of the controller because of the rib that goes around it.  I personally think it looks nicer

Well I didn't actually find these, but but them all off the internet (and a few I traded for).  Some unlicensed Korean games:

Metal Force just arrived today, though I had paid for it on December 31st, and thus it was technically my last purchase of 2013.  Now I need to start cutting back on my Famicom buying, haha, guess that will not happen this year either.  ;)

I also got these, which are Challenge of the Dragon, Menace Beach, and Crystal Mines for the Famicom...licensed by Color Dreams to Daou, unlicensed games though.  :)

Edit:  Also a big thanks to nerdynebraskan for helping me track many of these games down.  Please PM me with your infos, as I want to send you a small finders gift for the help  ;D

I'm glad you were able to make the deal with that Korean dude I put you in touch with. I'd bought several things from him when he listed on Nintendo Age, and I found him to be a totally stand-up dude. And while I did want that Metal Force and Koko Adventure, I knew I couldn't afford what he wanted for them. Nice to see them in another stellar collection, especially one where the guy is semi-public about it. (It's nice to see rarities like these.)
