I found one and am considering buying it, what would you value it's worth at?

Is there a pandamar cart? I have it on a multi cart, didn't realise you could get it on its own!
"GameCentre CX Chief ON!"

Doremi Fantasy: Milon no Daibouken for 42 bucks, pretty nice! (cart only ofc)

Tonight when I get paid I'm going to buy more games:

Pizza Pop
Wacky Races
Mickey Mouse 3

Super NInja-kun
Makeruna Makendo
Kishin Douji Senki: Rettou Raiden

And possibly, pirate carts of Panic Restaurant and Little Samson

Selling my Sega Saturn will pay for most of this.

As the costs started to run away I decide to skip Pizza Pop and Makeruna Makendo, after trying them some more in emulator. Pizza pops hit detection is much harder to get down that expected, and the knock back in makeruna makendo (kendo rage) could prove a bit annoying. Gonna keep them on my "list" though.
Also I added Ninja Gaiden Shadow on Gameboy.

EDIT: Bought Moon Crystal, polish pirate cart. But if it saves me like $250, it is totally fine with me :D (the pirate cost me $16)

My "birthday gets":

Rockman 2-5, Doki Doki Yuuenchi, Adventure Island IV, Monster in my Pocket on NES, Ganso Yanchamaru and GB Genjin Land on Game Boy.

I was initially supposed to be getting Rockman 1 as well, but someone else bought the copy I had my eyes on. So I still need to get that one... luckily a copy of Doki Doki Yuuenchi showed up that I won, which made up for it. Also, Ghegs absolutely wasn't kidding about AI4's quality. That is a damn good game.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

Rockman 1 is the hardest to find!

How is Doki Doki Yuuenchi? I've only tried the first two levels.

Yeah, I have no doubt that I'm gonna have to pay a lot for it when the time comes, but man I really want to complete the set.

DDY is great - the rollercoaster stages get very challenging at the end, the bosses are huge, and of course the power-up/health system is incredibly unique. My only gripe about the game is that there seems to be an issue with jumping sometimes. Like, roughly 5% of the time or so, it'll "stagger" my jump input and give me a small jump even when I hold the button, and this can lead to death in certain parts. I'm still not sure if this is just a problem with the game itself, or if I'm timing my jumps wrong (maybe it staggers because of the texture difference near the edge of a platform?) Not sure. I've managed to beat it without continues a few times so it isn't that big of a flaw, just a minor gripe. Pick it up if you have the chance!

My experience with Doki Doki Yuuenchi is a bit on the opposite side. The boss fights and the power-up/health things are cool, but the stages are pretty boring. And from watching a playthrough on Youtube, the same stage layouts with the same enemies (or their rough equivalents) at about the same locations seem to be repeated once or twice, the setting just changes. If it was a more affordable game I could be more forgiving, but to me DDY doesn't feel worth the price I've seen it going for.

Nice catches nonetheless.

Nightstar699

I see what you mean, like the 2 ghost house levels, the 2 jungle-themed levels, etc. These stage types are very similar to each other. It'd be cool if the stages each represented unique attractions, like Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 2. But I found them pretty fun nonetheless.

Just how much does it usually go for, by the way? My copy ended at like 15,000 yen, and I haven't seen one on eBay or elsewhere in a really long time (besides the crazy $500 one...) so it's tough for me to say.

Yen? Where were you bidding, japanese ebay or something else?

Nightstar699

Yahoo Japan! I don't believe there is a separate Japanese version of eBay.

3 new carts:

Pocket Games 150 in 1 which I talk about here:
http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=11955.0 (see reply 13 for the scoop! I may make a youtube video of it soon.)

also 2 games I've wanted for a very long time: Mad City and Tetrastar: The Fighter!

Haul for July:

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers 1+2, Power Blade, Flipull, CrossFire, Adventure Island and Flappy.

You might notice the Flappy box is a bit larger than the standard size. That's because it comes with a big extra booklet that explains basic strategies as well as clear instructions on how to beat the first five stages. Pretty cool.

There's no similar excuse as to why Flipull's box is so big. That's just Taito giving the middle finger to conformity, I guess. The cart isn't even properly secured in there, it's pretty loose. I don't know what they were thinking.

Nightstar699

Beautiful! You ended up finding Chip N Dale 1-2 after all? That is great, I figured it'd be ages before another nice CIB copy of 1 was listed. I see you decided to go for Takahashi 1 to complete the set... it's kinda awkward to have all but one entries of a series, so I can see why.

I completely forgot Cross Fire even existed, thanks for the reminder... adding that one to the list. Maybe Flappy too... I'm usually not into early games, but I do recall playing that one on emulator briefly many years ago, same with "Banana". And then of course Power Blade, best addition of the set.

I see only good games (except I haven't played Flappy)! Me and my brother played the crap out of Chip 'n Dale back in the day. The sequel seems great too, though I only tested it in emulators.

Is Flipull's box larger than that of games like Insector X?  I could have sworn they were the same size, but after trying to pull out the box and compare (and being unable to locate it), maybe I don't even have Flipull CIB.
