It depends.  The cheapest I have seen is about 5000 yen (60 dollars) for a loose copy in bad condition.  The most expensive is 63,000 (750$) for a nice CIB copy.

That is just for the rare `Kung Fu` variation.  Spartan X is much cheaper, usually in the 500-1000 yen range.

Didn't know the back story on Kung Fu & Spartan X. Nice write up!

Here's one that's been sitting on ebay for awhile:

Yeah everything that seller has listed is way marked up.
Typical French seller - there are so many greedy French sellers on eBay, I don't know why they put stuff up for such ridiculous prices and just leave it there.

Do you know if this is the complete bubble bobble set? Or is the game missing? Is there any value in the purse then?

Nice find, fredj! Yep, that bubble bobble is indeed complete with both the game and huge manual inside.  :)

No, actually the game disk is missing??  :( You see it's not there. Yes, I didn't see it at first either. Kind of bummer then, I paid too much.

The disk is there, man. I can see it in your pic. :)
Here's an example:

fredJ

ah okay, thanks. It could be empty I suppose, but let's hope it's not... The seller said it was only five games actually but hope he is wrong...

Finds  ;D

KINNIKUMAN MUSCLE SUEISHA JIDOU TOSHO PRESENT EDITION  CIB.

What is that? like your 5th one? XD

senseiman

Oh man, that is pretty sweet, I`ve been wanting one of those (loose or CIB) for a while.  Nice find!

Er....is it really your fifth one?

stealthlurker

He's cornering the "present" market! Nice grab! I need to pick one of those up too.

FamicomFreak

Are they really rare? Because if they are that's pretty kewl although the game sucks ass...

Yeah, the green ones are really rare.  The red ones are not.  Its a sucky game but I like the look of the carts (both the green and red versions) and the kinnikuman character is pretty cool.

manuel

That's the special "present" edition, which is very rare.
The regular one is common.

Both are crappy games.  ;D

FamicomFreak

LOL! I see thanks for the info master!!

Please do let us know when your package arrives, very misleading seeing the actual disk in the "pencil case" or whatever you call it.
