It is really neat to see what Famicom games looked like when they left the factory.

Got this in the mail.

Love that Famicom shipping box.  I have shipping boxes for Virtual Boy, Super Famicom and Gameboy Advance too.
I managed to get a full case of Hogan's Alley, the shipping boxes have a lot of charm I think!

In case anyone was wondering, shipping boxes for current games don't look anywhere near as nice, they're usually pretty plain with simple text on.

A case of Hogan`s Alley muust look really awesome, I love the purple boxes on that one.

And I agree, the Famicom shipping boxes are pretty cool on their own - they aren`t just throw-away cardboard boxes but have nifty folding lids and the game names on them.

Finds Update out of the blue:

Nice Pizza Pops from DahrenDreamcast, was once Manuel's :). - Manuel I still have your Salamander case!!

But here's something I thought was a really nice find, literature from the NES introduction, showing the retail strategy around ROB, the AVS itself that was present at CES...
...AAAAND the AVS with a game in - first I've seen that shows the AVS took famicom games :)

Not all that surprising, but I was glad to add this to my handbills / brochures / flyers collection.

Those photos are kind of amazing, L_E_T. That prototype looks much slicker than the finished product we got.

And the sticker doesn't look too bad, either.  Did you pay the going rate or get a good deal?
