kind of depressing getting my pics pulled was just kind of excited to show of my find. I understand the reason for the pull. I guess I just thought scumbag sellers don't prowl these boards.

Pikkon

Just watermark your pics and re-upload them.

I thought it would be a bit of a downer, but I also thought you'd feel strongly about it, especially if we started seeing repros and the value went down for example.

Please don't take it the wrong way.  I can watermark them for you if you want and re-upload?  I left it a day or so before I temporarily removed them.

Heck of a find and I'm really pleased for you - another gem to add to your collection!  You can be sure we're all in awe - it's only cos the images were raw photos and better than anything online.

Sadly we've had new members request scans of them before here so I do think there are people looking for them, also Google images can hang on to them to make them easily searchable etc.

Recent arrivals. Box/"manual"/etc for 8 bit music power were photoed in the other thread, I prefer to just keep the carts out for easy access.

DDCecil

A few games from fcgamer! DA is really Doki! Doki! Yūenchi: Crazy Land Daisakusen, a game I've wanted ever since seeing a spread in one of the Consumer's Guide NES hint books.

Well, I did end up getting it. Bit of a story there too. After Nightstar699 mentioned it in our post-stash picture discussion, I looked for it and found one on eBay that had a price that was too low for a CIB, but too high for a loose cart. It only had a stock photo and the title was just "Spartan X 2 Japan" (no Famicom anywhere in there) so I very nearly ignored it right away, thinking it must be a hugely overpriced loose cart. The description was bit of a mess too, only in the middle of a long paragraph was it mentioned that the original box, manual and game are indeed included.

I contacted the seller and asked for more photos. They replied, saying that they've now updated the listing with more photos and because they've received many inquiries about it, also increased the price by $100. BUT! They said they'd honor the original price I found it at, if I still wanted the game.

And I sure did. That's probably the last great Famicom deal I'll be getting.

stealthlurker

That's quite a story on the road to acquiring this one. Really nice of the seller to honor the price.

Also interesting as to how much "ambitious" this game tried to be over the original... At least that's how I felt when I first played it  ;D

NintendoKing

I really like Spartan X-2, but I only have a pirate of it. That's an amazing boxed copy and it's so nice that the seller has honor.

*cool things*

A fitting and worthy end to the bulk of your FC collecting... something about you having Spartan X, but not its technically-superior-yet-arguably-less-charming brother just felt... wrong. But I thought that might have just been my personal love for the game talking.

Upon looking at completed listings, I must say, I'm surprised you had such a good experience with this seller, because I was in a similar situation with vastly different results. A while back I tried purchasing a game they had listed (Banana Ouji no Daibouken), and again, it was a stock photo, had a price that was too high for cart, too low for CIB, yet the description said it was CIB. So upon asking them for pictures, they ended up ignoring my messages altogether and canceling the whole thing. Huh. Well in the end I didn't want that game (just because of the stupid quiz sections halfway through, if it wasn't for that it'd be in my collection), so it's no big loss but still, glad it worked out for you. SX2 is a cool game.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

'nuff said.

Nope.  Can't play it cool.  Details, man!

I acquired it through a trade deal recently, I am trying to pare down on physical media for other consoles and refocus on NES/FC/FDS so I had equivalent items to trade for it. I think it is the last expensive game on the console I wanted, so from here on out it's just researching interesting carts to buy :redcart:

The last month has been rough for me, so little extra money for buying games and stuff. But things are finally starting to look up, and I had a chance to get some more gaming items:

Six Famicom cartridges.  My favorite is Fire Hawk though.

But saving the best for now, my find of today:

Two Famiclone guns, boxed.  I really like that Kid Ken gun, Polish guys, Kid Ken was popular over there, did you ever see this before?  Also glad for Q*Bert and Final Fight to play.
