Hi!
I´ve searched this forum for hours after an answer to this question but can't find any.
So I've modded my Famicom like this:

(same as this(?):
http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/~kuboken/famicom/famav2.html

When i put this into my Swedish PAL-tv (without ntsc-pal converter) I get the sound and a black screen with different types of white lines accordning to which "game-screen" should be showing.
I've used:
2 resistors 1 W 22 kohm
1 Transistor (2N3906 TO-92 PNP 40V 200mA)
1 Electrolytic Capacitor (0.47 uF 50V 85C radial)

I will be very, very thankful for your help!

Naturally... To start off, that transistor won't work correctly, as the direction of flow is reversed.

That schematic is based around a RF-video amplifier NPN transistor, not a switching amplifier PNP transistor. It also does not properly  tie the emitter to the video output. (Didn't I recently discuss this in another thread?)

I designed, and sell this kit, if you want a single-step solution.  :bomb:

Aha, Will it work if i change to a: 2N3904 TO-92 NPN 50V 200mA?
I also have a: 2SC1815 TO-92

Thanks / Filip

The 2N3904 should work; the 1815 certainly will. I may have tried a 3904 at some point, as I tested many transistors when I designed the kits, however i do not recall my findings for it.

I also suggest that you place a 75-Ohm resistor between the video-out signal and the emitter junction.  :bomb:

Great!
Now i have the SC1815 and it starts. Thank you very, very much!=)
What do the 75-Ohm resistor do?

Thanks again! =)

Good to hear; and you are quite welcome. The resistor is to maintain 75-ohm impedance, which prevents video reflections (e.g. blurring / shadowing) in the image. I suggest reading this for a not-overly-technical explanation. You may wish to do further reading on the subject if you're interested.  :bomb:
