Is anyone interested in the Super Famicom Box that was used in Japanese hotels when the system was in its prime? I got one last week and have been quite hooked on it this week! It has 5 games: Mario Kart, Mario Collection, Star Fox, Donkey Kong and Bombliss Tetris.

Just thought i'd see if people are interested in something like this from Japan. The only problem would be the shipping... as it is very heavy... would have to be surface mail for any potentials. cheers.  :star:

Jedi Master Baiter

That is one nice, varied collection of games for that.

How many slots do these have? I understand that Mario Kart, Star Fox, & Mario All-Stars are all in one?

manuel

I think it has 2 slots and there are multiple games on one cartridge.

I am interested. Does it weigh more than 20 kg? Hope not.

I don't think it weighs more than 20kg.
If I remember right the Famicom Box weighs 16kg. SFC-BOX should weigh around the same. (I could be totally wrong, though...)

Hey everyone, thanks for the messages....

Been playing on this baby for the last week or so... its pretty cool.

Just got my hands on the girlfriends mothers scales, so i will get it weighed soon.... think it needs some new batteries!  :cherry:

I think there are two carts inside, but can't be sure... unfortunately i can't unlock the box as the keys are missing, but everything is working great.

I will keep you all informed.

Rich what I really want to ask you  is - can I order some of that amazing tea from you?  It came with a nice note from you and the lady last time I bought something.  I only just used it this week as I've recently moved (I'd put it by) and it's miles better than any nihoncha I've found round here! :)

It turns out that it weighs just over 10KG. Feels much heavier but maybe i'm becomming weak in my old age.  :-[

Shipping via Surface Mail to most of the regular destinations would be 7,500JPY or £63.99 GBP. I've checked the regular's such as US, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Italy, etc. Surface Mail is the only realistic way of getting this beast to its detination... for example... EMS to Brazil would be about 31,000JPY. Insane.

I have the day job to go to, so over the weekend, i will get some photos together for everyone to look at. If you want to make an offer, please PM. I still thinking of putting it on eBay, but an email wouldn't hurt.  ;)

L_E_T - Of course i could get you some more Green Tea. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Let me know what you are thinking...

I can't find any item for sale to compare prices. What is a good price? 10 000 - 15 000 yen?

I'm struggling with this myself. That is one of the reasons why i am thinking of putting it on eBay to get soem kind of price range. Of course there are risks with getting a low price, and of course if could be over inflated, but i am not entirely sure what the asking price would be.  :help:

manuel

An over-inflated price wouldn't be bad for you.  ;D
10-15000 Yen would definitely be a very good price, almost a steal. Although missing keys do lower the value a bit (in my opinion).

Hello again everyone...

Sorry it has taken so long to get around to getting these photos up, but i have finally done it.  :-[

Here is the direct link to the photobucket album:

As you can see, i have taken photos of the box and i've tried to taken photos of the game menus, etc. so you can see that everything is working fine.

The only problem with it, as manuel pointed out, that the set of keys is missing, which means that it will be difficult to open. Having said that, i imagine that a locksmith could help if someone really did want to get inside!

Anyway, here is if for you all to check out... Let me know if anyone is seriously interested... happy to listen to offers, before (if i do) put it on eBay.

Cheers.
