I learned that you shouldn't take a bunch of straight shots of absinthe after already having had around 6 beers. I already knew it wasn't the best idea, but now I can say so having first hand experience.

i remember absinthe, wow that was when i was 17y.o. on an excursion in Prague, i drunk some of that green alc. drink (it was green?) and it was very unpleasant experience, but i was also drinking beer and other strong alc. drinks... all i can say i felt sick for a few days after that !

So much for dry july on this board  ;) I'm starting to think we're all becoming alcoholics

I learned today that my cat is an asshole for not coming home still.

I wanna try absinthe, but I am still doing the research to try to find which are the authentic brands, and then see which of those I can get here in Taiwan.

Does anybody really like absinthe?  There's a reason some drinks fall out of fashion and/or are made illegal.

It's one of those drinks that has merit on its strength alone - it's not a mature drink let's be honest :D

I've had some before and was fine, but it knocked me back a but for sure.

The only absinthe you can buy where I live is 55% alc with 10mg wormwood per 1litre of absinthe. I like it.

Today I learned that my one student's mother wants to cheat on her husband with an Aussie she met over the internet.

Believe me, it was.  The only thing that made it somewhat more bearable was that the woman (she is from Indonesia)'s English was not so good, so she couldn't tell me as many details as she had wanted.

Most aussie guys are dicks -_- They really really are but there are a few good ones in there  ;D The whole leaving the husband for some guy in another country is risky at best.  Just leaving a husband is a pain in the arse enough. CRAZY I SAY!
Back to the learning I learnt that one of my former fuck buddies is a ridiculously arrogant pig under the whol i'm really a good guy act  >:(

I just love the Aussie accent.  ;)  It sounds so ridiculous, but awesome at the same time.  My favorite English accents are Aussie and South African, and I hate the American and UK accents.  Sorry L__E__T and everyone else ;)

Most guys are pigs, hate to say it.  We are all good actors, and cowards as well...but at the end of the day, our true colors will show, in an imperative situation.

It's ok haha, I actually really cannot stand the SA accent or an Aussie accent.  Ironically, Zim and Kiwi accents don't bother me.

Thing is, there is no such thing as a UK accent, that's lumping a scottish, Northern Irish, Geordie, Brummy, Liverpudlian, Manc, Yorkshire, West Country, Cockney, Essex and many others all into one name - they are very, very different, not like a Canadian and New Jersey different more like a French and Italian different.

Same thing with American. In America we have Dixie, Floridian, Miami, Appalachian (aka "Hillybilly"), Texan, Cajun, Yat, Mid-Atlantic, Urban, "Noo Yawk", "Da Bronx", Prep, Puerto Rican, Jewish, Down East, Vermon', "Bahston", Philly, "Bawlmore", Midwestern, Chicago, Minnesota, Cowboy, Californian, Valley Girl, Surfer Dude, Latino, Hawaiian, Military and a whole bunch of other minor ones in between.  :P

You can't possibly hate all of these accents, can you fcgamer?
