I just wanted to share with everyone how EXCITED I am right now. I had no idea it was so TINY.  I mean, I can palm the thing, and I have delicate ladyhands.  :mspacman:

I love my AV, the classic one looks cool but the AV has such nice video and is so CLEANS.  Also, NES ports!

NintendoKing

Lobdale, I love my AV Famicom very much also. They are excellent!

Drakon

Welcome to owning the best model ever built!  Congrats!

Duke.Togo

Mine is on its way across the ocean at the moment. I'm really looking forward to getting it, but I will keep my original out as I love the way it looks.

Now you're playing with power!

I love my AV Famicom too and I totally agree with you on the size of it. Then again, even the box for it was super tiny. The AV Famicom is proof that every now and then, good things come in small packages.

Congrats on the score!

I still don't have one yet, I wish I had picked one up ages ago when pricing wasn't so bad. Had a look around (after a minty boxed unit) and couldn't spot anything for under triple digits so I ended up grabbing a twin fami - which I'm super chuffed with as not only does it provide composite output it plays disk games! Just wish the controller leads weren't so darn short.

As soon as I find a 505 Red, I'll have one of those too :)

I was gifted a complete AV Famicom for Christmas from my sister. It was just about untouched and I almost hate to use it, but that's what it's for!

Agreed! That's the point! I might get an original Famicom one day, if I can afford a *white* one, but that would be just to sit on my desk.

Another AV famicom popped up in the store near me. Good condition, 2 controlers and all plugins. Around 6,000yen. I already have mine though but i was surprised they got another one now.

I just bought one recently, and I'm absolutely loving it. I think at this point that it just may become my main 8-bit Nintendo console.

;D Congratulations on the newest addition to your retro family!  ;D

My TwinFami Turbo arrived yesterday and it's so rad! ;D The sound of the disk drive reminds me of an old fast-forwarding VCR^^
And it's funny how much PAL games were optimized for 50Hz. Every game i tried with the adaptor went into Hyperturbo-mode*g
