As did everyone.  But I really don't think it's withstanded the test of time so well.  It's nice to watch, but I really don't find it enjoyable to play.

Aha, Drakon, I figured it would be. Never played the ARC version, I plan too though, as I imagine the sprites would look closer to the Captain's appearance in Marvel Vs. Capcom. :3

No clue I havn't played mvc3.  Just fire it up on mame or your favourite cps1 emulator

You're not missing out, MvC3 is garbage. And I will check out CPS1 Captain Commando sometime.

Yeah, I've never been too big into MK, but my favorite in the series is probably Mortal Kombat II. That game is awesome, but I've always been so much better at Street Fighter.

SF2 always kicked my butt. Was never very good at it. I also played a lot of Killer Instinct for the snes, loved the massive combos you could get in the game.

I worshipped sf2 since it was new (and I was around 11 years old) so naturally it's one of the games I'm best at.  I agree the best all around mk is probably mk 2 but mk 1 still has its value.  By mk3 the series didn't feel as serious to me.  Pretty much as soon as cps1 emulators appeared I went out and found all the cps1 roms I could and that's how I found out that captain commando even existed.  It's a huge shame that captain commando arcade pcbs used suicide batteries so it's next to impossible to find a captain commando pcb out in the wild (even a suicided one).

There's a company that will re-flash CPS boards for you if required.  
I imagine you're pretty well-versed in that anyway as you familiar with the CPS2 suicide solutions.

I actually havn't looked too much into it.  However different cps1 boards have different pal chips and different stuff on the c boards so I think making a conversion is a royal pain.

captain commando seems to have a set of pal chips that're different from other cps pcbs....making it kind of impossible to make a conversion.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that.  I keep meaning to pick up a JP Super Street Fighter 2X set.  I'd kind've promised myself it for my 30th but that's fast approaching now :S

Nah, that would be a beat 'em up, not a fighting game, but I do love the AvP arcade game. One of the best beat 'em ups ever.
