Kai is a traditional German name and also a Japanese name. And it's easy to pronounce. Those were the main reasons we chose it.
In kanji it's written 櫂, meaning "oar".

lol nope, my husband suggested it jokingly cause he heard it on a radio show and I said I would consider it until I thought of something I liked better, lol obviously I didn't think of anything good   It actually fits him quite good :p

We should all thank tiger woods for making it an accepted name.  It sure beats platypus!

At least Tiger can be shorted to Ti     Guess you could shorten platypus, it could be Platy lol which isn't nearly as cool :p
