So I am thinking about Modding my Famicom for AV...my thoughts

I haven't done the mod yet (not on a Famicom at least,) so I can't offer any practical advice, but you might want to read up on this thread:

The jailbar issue is discussed extensively there, and if you are handy with a soldering iron you can probably fix it pretty easily.

yup making av-mod is pretty easily, but beating the jailbars is hard as fuck

I have seen the TV making a huge difference. My two tvs are worlds different.  Both are CRT one is 27" and one is 26" wide and the 27" BARELY shows them but the 1080 26" wide tv makes them stand out like a hooker on a saturday night.
