Where can I find a guide for making NES to famicom controller adapters

I've seen pictures before of someone who has made an adapter to use two standard NES controllers on a famicom. Does anyone have pictures?

Also, if one were to use such in adapter as well as a 72-60 pin adapter with an American copy of Battletoads. Would you be able to play it in two player mode? (The NES battletoads initiates two player mode by two player pressing start, which is impossible on a Famicom controller, but would using an American controller and game work or would the Famicom just not register the input?)

NES controllers on a famicom has two approaches. You can build an expansion port adapter, or replace the hardwired controllers. There might be compatibility differences.

Personally I think the less common idea has better potential. I'm looking into getting someone to try it for me.
It'd take an approach closer to AV Famicom. Place NES ports onto Famicom without needing to source an expansion connector, have that port occupied, or cords sticking out.

I think I would like the nes ports of some kind on my famicom since the db15 port adapter route doesn't work with every game. What would I need to do? where is the pin to pin diagram for the famicom controllers?
