im looking for one for a decent price i dont care what color, more of the best price, and one that is not all beat up lightly used, but does not have to be like new, minor dings and scratches are ok,

also in japan was the Component cable for the gamecube more common?  or do they run 100USD all over

and if any one has a super gameboy 2 would be pretty sweet

Gameboy Lights are pricey, you're looking at around $50-$75 even for an average, well used condition one unfortunately.  Silver seems to go for less.
It's much, much cheaper to get a backlit gameboy but it doesn't compare to the gameboy light.

You can pick up a cheap unofficial (but just as good) component cable for gamecube for less than 10 bucks, where are you looking?

You can get a Super Gameboy 2 loose for around 20 bucks.  It's hard to find one for less than that.

I would say FredJ is our resident authority on anything gameboy.  Are these prices inline Fred?

I don't know about the Gamecube cable, but your prices seem about right for when I was looking for Gameboy stuff last year. I ended up putting a backlight in my original brick, it's pretty awesome.

L___E___T: LOL, yes I think your prices are accurate.  :D
But I think Silver and Gold GBL are around the same?
I don't watch eBay too much, so I don't know exactly.

Worth mentioning is that the light feature on GBL often glitches, and sometimes it doesn't work at all.

Btw, I just received the yellow skeleton one... WOW, it's so beautiful.  :o

They make unofficial component cables for gamecube? If so where at please, would prefer if they sold to the states, also I'm aware I can put a light in my gameboy pocket, dmg and color I'm just after collecting the different variation, and as far as the super gameboy goes I see them on ebay for 15 to 20 bucks yes, I just prefer to buy from some one on here due to the fact I think the community you all built here is pretty damn awesome, and would rather help some one on here have my money then some random person on ebay.

NintendoKing

I used to have a silver Gameboy Light sadly it junked out on me, now I have a gold one.
My gold GBL is fantastic but even in mediocre condition it still cost me $85.

I have 2 of the gold ones and love them, but I sold one off not that long ago. I think it's crazy they're so expensive from international sellers, I bought my first one for $15 and my second for $25, which I sold at the same price.

Still, that one from Hit-Japan isn't too bad assuming they'll accept a decent offer on it.

yeeaaahh, only acceptable thing about that is the screen, they dont even show that the light works, and there is no battery cover, light wear and scratches are fine, but it looks like some one tired to stick in through a paper shredder, thanks for the effort though...  i would rate that like a D/E..... i don't know how they rate there systems , i was more thinking some where between B/C all around, silver or gold don't matter to me just don't want to spend the money on the Special edition one, i was hoping to spend no more then 60-65 bucks with shipping but looks like that wont be possible oh well (also kick my self for not buying the 20th anniversary gameboy micro CIB  at a half price books out here in the states)

I'll find a link for the component cable.  Don't forget they're interchangeable for Wii and Gamecube - it's the same cable.

UK example here:

US example here:
http://www.amazon.com/HD-Pro-Component-Cable-Wii-Nintendo/dp/B000M4KIME/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345707869&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+component+cable

Supercheap!

On the Gameboy Light - I have a silver one that the sound is a bit sensitive on and a gold one that gets a lot of use and I've never had any problem with it.
Of the auctions I see - the Golds get more bids I cn only assume because they look a bit mor premium, I know it isn't exactly logical.
I really want ont of those yellow ones Fred! :)

I don't believe you're correct about the connectors being the same...

L___E___T

Sorry, you're correct - I definitely picked up an aftermarket cable for my GC though - let me have another look...

Damn I can't find it now...  I wonder if you could get a cheap AV cable and a cheap component cable and switch the plastic parts?  I hope that's not a laughable suggestion.

You can't, the GC YUV is an active cable which means it has chips and other stuff in the connector that do stuff with the signal. It is why there's still no 3rd party cables for NGC.

Also there's no point to have a YUV cable on a PAL NGC because Nintendo removed 480p to add PAL60 support on them (but there's still the Digital output). The best connector for PAL GC would be a SCART cable.
