Keyboard Woes

I've been having some mega problems with my laptop's keyboard. A few weeks back, about 1/3 of the keys stopped working.  Luckily none of the letter keys stopped working, so although it was annoying, I could work around it.  Yesterday, some of the letter keys did stop working.  Now it has created a problem, since I cannot type without all of the letters.

I bought a usb keyboard to plug in, but honestly it randomly works and shuts off, so it is not a permanent fix by any means.

My friend who is involved with programming and tech said that I should try to reseat my laptop's keyboard.  I opened up my laptop tonight to try to do this, but it was impossible for me to get access to the keyboard to attempt this.  I removed all of the screws, but still was unable to remove the circuit board from the plastic case, on the keyboard side, to reveal the keys...

I really don't want to take this to some repair shop, as the computer is just slightly over a year old.  Any suggestions of what might be wrong with this thing? Suggestions for fixing it?

PS. if anything that is actually suggested here gets the issue resolved, I will send the person a free Famicom game as a thank you.

try to find the video how to disassemble your laptop on youtube.

and replace the keybrbd by new one. Hope that will work for you

What kind of laptop do you have?  The majority of laptops give you relatively easy access to the keyboard assembly, it's just not always obvious how to go about doing it.

The only solution I can think of is to use the On-Screen Keyboard application. :-\

Edit: Actually, is there an alternate port you could plug a keyboard into? If so, you could try using that.

If  you remove the keyboard shield you  can clean it and try if it fixed it.
I am back everyone :)
