Sony launched the PS1 2 years before the N64, and it did better. And the PS1 was much less powerful than the N64.

It is just the reverse in 2012. Those sites are really dumb.

You can't rule out Nintendo, but I don't think they can replicate their success of the Wii either because the global economy has turned upside down since the Wii launched.  People are much more frugal these days, globally.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean they're going to drop support in two years. They didn't do it with the N64 or Gamecube.
