Now, with my ntsc NES displaying RGB, games can be displayed on an arcade cabinet screen.

I've built a cheap "console to jamma" which has :

- DIN 8 to fit in the video RGB output of ma NES,
- A sync splitter,
- A male jamma fingerboard,
- A mono amplifier (without that, the sound would be very weak).

The DB15 connector is here for the controls when I use the console to jamma with my NeoGeoCDZ console. That console does'nt need hack pads.

Console to jamma done, I plug my NES and my FDS...

Not very useful, but playing punch out or kung fu on arcade cabinet is fun^^. I have to make a NES hack pad now to play with the control panel of my arcade cabinet.

It's possible to do it with a french NES, because it outputs some kind of RGB too (converted from composite, not a true RGB signal).

I love it!  I'm making a NES arcade cabinet myself :)

How much do you charge for the AV fami RGB mod?

Ah, I see the quotes are all here, thanks Drakon (adding link for others' benefit)

I tried this project before but failed 3 times. In the end, I gave up.

It's one of the more difficult mods that's for sure.  There's a lot of missing required circuitry and the rgb signals from the ppu get interference unless they're fed into an amp / encoder at point blank range.
