Pokemon Gold (GBA)

i just found it again and booted it up to find i had gotten frustrated the last time i played it (3-5 yrs ago)
and had restarted the game...
i hadn't even beaten the first gym... before that i had 3 gyms left to go....

but i'm progressing quickly now..

I remember I got stuck in the middle of a cave on Pokemon Silver, I have no idea how I got there, but I couldn't get out...so I had to restart the game.  It may have been a glitch, because I could only walk a few steps in any direction before I stopped.

But then I can't play it.  I'd never get past Wiz-Man.  (the first game)  3 big language barriers;

-I can't read the challenges
-Guadia Quest Saga  (RPG)
-Detective Kacho Parts 1/2  (Graphic/Text adventures)
