F-Zero X.  Hopefully it's as good as dork says it is...

It's great.  You'll love it, as long as you liked the first F-Zero, and you like fast paced racing games.  This one is much better than the first one, though.

The last game I played was Halo (PC)

Been the main/only game I've played since I got it, so I defintiely think it is a great racing game (perhaps not the "best" though).  Thus far I've beaten J/Q/K on Expert and Joker on Standard (I think I just need to beat that on expert to unlock another cup).  Took me forever to beat King on expert until I found out you can press up or down to change your angle in the air (greatly affecting the speed).  I felt stupid once I realized that.  I kept wondering why I was getting passed on big jumps all the time.

Glad you like it!  I've already unlocked all the cars, and beat all the cups on Master.  It's pretty freaking fun

The last game I played was Starfox 64

Starfox 64 is a great game--played through it countless times in a row back when I had it. 

I saw something about a master level when I was reading about the cars online.  Will have to see how hard that is for me.  Thus far I've beaten everything with the Baba guy (aside from the earliest stuff I did with the White Cat).  For whatever reason I can't name his ship, but it is second down on the left side.  When I read about the different cars, I got the impression that people don't like that car/ship, but it has been by far the best for me (I read several opinions and it seems the Twin Noritta is favored, but I must be too much of a noob for it).
