If you ask me, then I'd say definitely. You might as well get it anyway, not like you have to pay for it.

Install the game data on the HDD, and then the disc will only be used as a form of verification that you own the game.

Installing data on HDD = faster, easier, quiet.

I play it on the HDD, but the loading time are still a pain in the ass 
Anyway, i already beat the game

Homefront Multiplayer Demo on PS3

Also played Uncharted 3 Multiplayer, it was fun but I'd prefer to play a level from the story mode than just shooting around.

If it was 2D mode then possibly it was:
- Budokai (1,2,3)
- Infinite World

Or in 3D mode then:
- Budokai Tenkaichi (1,2,3)
- Super Dragon Ball Z

Note: Infinite World is kind of free roam, but not totally.
