I haven't bought any classic games in a really long time, so I figured I'd do a little bit of that.  Over the last week or so, I've bought...

Sin and Punishment and Diddy Kong Racing (both NTSC-J for the N64) from Senseiman.
The fourth Crayon Shin-Chan game (NTSC-J) on the Game Boy from Manuel.

And today after getting an EEG in Omaha, I stopped by Gamers and got...
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy) Since this is the only other game Pit is in, I figured I'd give it a go.
Goldeneye (N64) I've never really sat down and played this game before and I'm really excited to finally be able to.
Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time (PS1) I had this game as a kid on the PC, and saw it there for Playstation and decided to get it and play through it again! (My current laptop doesn't support games made for Win98. :P)

Unrelated to gaming, I've recently gained an interest in books by Hunter S. Thompson, and got a few of those online, as I probably mentioned somewhere else on here. Those books are...
Screwjack; a compliation of three short stories
The Curse of Lono; basically "Fear and Loathing in Hawaii."
Gonzo: A book of various letters written to and from Thompson, as well as several photographs he had taken throughout his career.

I was about to say "how the fuck can you not have played Goldeneye?!?" but then I remembered that when the game came out you were probably a toddler.  :P

Out of the several N64 games I had, Goldeneye wasn't one of them, and none of my friends had it either!  I guess FPS's just didn't appeal to 5/6-year olds back then. :P

Got these SFC games for quite cheap:

Interested to see how Goldeneye holds up to a newcomer in the 21st Century.  It's still fun in multiplayer, when we played it a couple of years ago - but will it be fun in single player still?  Let us know!

Possibly my greatest retro game purchase ever:

Almost half the entire library of the short-lived Epoch Super Cassette Vision`s software for 1400 yen (about 20 bucks).

These things are amazing.  I don`t have the console yet but couldn`t let the opportunity to pick these up so cheap pass.  Put some more pics up on my blog here:

Very interesting console.  I think these are the only video game carts out there capable of giving the Famicom a run for the title of `most colorful`.

Sega SG 1000 II, the predecessor to the predecessor to the Sega Master System.  Don`t know if my new console works or not yet, but I`m quite happy with the purchase anyway ;D
