Thanks! Yeah I did play the first stage of Dino City this evening, it seemed pretty fun. I'll get into it more (and hopefully beat it) in the morning.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

If you can beat it in one day I'll be mildly impressed, it's not as easy as I expected.

Done.

I gotta say, the final boss was so easy I couldn't believe I had finished the game. The platforming demonstrated some creative ideas, and definitely forced me to learn the stage layouts. The bosses (while extremely easy) were equally as creative, and I enjoyed fighting them, although I wish they died just a bit less quickly. I used the purple team, by the way.

Overall, not disappointed with Dino Wars, and I'll definitely be replaying it in the near future. On a side note, I absolutely LOVE how the box-art looks like it was drawn by the same artist as that of Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 2. In fact, it just might be.

The snes mini produces some of the nicest rgb,is it going to come with the rgb mod.

And since Im in the US me doing component on a snes is the closes I can get to rgb,

Well I'm in the US and I've got 8 true analog RGB capable CRTs. You have to look around though. The easiest to find for us folks stateside are Sony PVMs (pro grade level CRTs - non consumer models). These were used by film and tv studios. If you google them, you'll find that there are quite a few gamers out there hunting these down for retro RGB greatness in the states. Many of the biggest game related messageboards have at least one big thread dedicated to them.

Not a rarity by any means (well, maybe in the US it is) but I am quite happy to have a new Kirby game to play today (and distract me from my college work :P ).

Here are a few games I am looking for right now
Super Puzzle Fighter II X (Sega Saturn)
GeGeGe no Kotarou (Sega Saturn)
Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Sega Saturn)
KiKi KaiKai (PC Engine) (CIB)
Puzzle Bobble (Super Famicom) (CIB)

I bought some interesting games locally for the first time in several months today. I picked up Alien vs. Predator and Doom for the SNES, and a CIB Boogerman for the Genesis.

I love those kind of hauls, so much to dig in to.  When I first started collecting I got a 100 or so games from Hit-Japan for $100 - there were plenty of good ones in there too!  I only got it for repros, but job lots are not to be sniffed at!
