When I was in elementary school I loved robots and what nots. Then about 10 years ago, I got really big into them again... more so than videogame stuff. Just this past year I sorta got back into them a wee bit.

A bit more from the haul... not too exciting for most, but been after this one for a while. The JPN PC version of Gradius Deluxe Pack.

That is absolutely lovely - how are the PC ports themselves?

Haven't tried it yet. Some are hit or miss. The 90s port of Splatterhouse for japanese PC is probably the best version (more so than the FM Towns port), whereas Layer Section/Rayforce isn't very good. Hopefully this one is good, but to me it's more about the niche aspect of this item.

A bit more...

These were tough to find. MD Geist 1 & 2 on LD

Yeah, especially these days I tend to gravitate towards more arcadey type games. Something you can play for 30 minutes and be out. In general though I'm not into RPGs. I did play some RPGs when I was in elementary school (usually action not turn based though) then retired from them. I came out of "retirement" once though to play and beat Link to the Past. Also played an hour or two on Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, some of the more recent Ys and Dragonquest games... but not enough to "seriously" play them. Who knows maybe one day I'll get back into it.

What does interest me though is the potential for the Occulus Rift. I've got one of the dev units and think it would be fantastic for survival horror and action dungeon crawler RPGs. Maybe when the next, improved version of the rift comes out and more triple A titles come out for it I might get sucked in.

I really want to get one of the HD ones scheduled for this year I think?  Someone got a Virtual Boy emulator running on it too - great stuff.

I do think you should reconsider DS2 though - that's exactly how I play it - in bursts and as an action game, you can do it :)

Stealthlurker, I'm glad I am not the only one who still collects Laser Disks! The cover art and boxes are beautiful, and I love all the stuff the disks come with like liner notes and art books.
Here are a few games I am looking for right now
Super Puzzle Fighter II X (Sega Saturn)
GeGeGe no Kotarou (Sega Saturn)
Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Sega Saturn)
KiKi KaiKai (PC Engine) (CIB)
Puzzle Bobble (Super Famicom) (CIB)

Totally Jess, the cover art is the main draw for me... all the nice little touches, booklets and what nots that come with these are fantastic too.

A few more... Irem themed.

Irem Madonna cab metal panel. Nearly fully enclosed minus a slit on the back. Previous owner looks like me put 4 very sturdy rubber feet on the bottom. Would make a great console stick or supergun.

The Irem "Private Base" PS2 monitor. Was rated a very high quality LCD during it's time (supposedly). Has s-video and composite inputs.
