I've played it for 2 hours straight with 3D on max yesterday and my eyes are fine. Or so I think...

I'm the same as Manuel. I've been playing SSFIV3D for a couple hours with max 3D and my eyes haven't strained at all. I also have no problems with playing the Virtual Boy for long periods of time either. I love the effect the 3DS creates and severely underestimated it since I could never actually see the 3D effect in person.  I hope Nintendo released more AR cards.  Those are really cool! Well, before that, they should get around to releasing some better games.

Out of the ones that were available to me, which were SSFIV3D, Nintendogs, Steel Diver, Pilot Wings Resort, Madden 2011, Sims 3, Super Monkey Ball 3D, and Bust-a-Move Universe, SSFIV3D was the only one that seemed interesting to me. Bust-a-Move is a fun puzzle game, but does it need to be in 3D? Anyone have any suggestions for me from the above games, or any other North American launch games?

3DS causes my vision to blur and my eyes to cross, after roughly 30 minutes of gameplay. I took mine back to the store and demanded a refund after just one day.

Why not just play with the 3D off?  That's what most people seem to be doing anyway, after the novelty wears off.

I'm also wondering why you don't just turn the 3D down. Even without the 3D it's quite a nice system and has a lot to offer.

Today I got Rabbids Travel in Time in the mail. It's no Mario, but really a solid side-scrolling platformer (with slightly generic level design).

Because then it's just a ludacris priced Nintendo DS. I already own a Nintendo DS, I just thought the 3D would be cool but I guess 1/10 people cannot use it.

manuel

Even though you own a DS, all big new games will be on 3DS from now on, and the graphics did improve a lot.
I think I was lucky. I didn't buy it for the 3D and I didn't expect much in that direction, so I couldn't be disappointed.

Here's a picture of my EB Games display, finally.

manuel

Can you post a pic with a human in it? I just can't imagine how big this is from this photo...

AV Famicom with ANN:SMB for comparison sizing.

manuel

Are you going to use it to display a Famicom? Or something else?

Originally these displayed NES, so I will probably put a NES inside of it and change the front plate to have a couple NES handbills.

That particular one was probably displaying an Xbox 360 or a PS3, since Call of Juarez: The Cartel was on both of those systems.

EB Games uses the same display cases for years, I remember this exact one back in 1993; it looks just like it did then. The only reason they got rid of it, is because they got new designed cases like 8 day ago.

linkzpikachu, I have never even seen a bare bones Atari 2600 for less then $50, I guess different areas value things differently?

my local game store sells the cart holders for $5, common atari games for $0.99, 2600s for $20 and controllers for $1.99.

I recently got this little bit of sweetness...
