Got my Everdrive N8 in the post today and I'm extremely happy with it but at the moment is just the pcb. I took apart an old galg cart and I'm harvesting/butchering (never been good at this sort of thing) its shell. My problem is I don't own a printer at all so as much as I'd love to attempt to make a label for the front and back of my cart ill never be able to.  :'(

Is there any good person among ye out there in famicom world that would come to my rescue and make me the label for front and back and il pay ye cash money for doing so.  :coin:

I can make you the  design of the labels and will send you the pdf ready to be printed and a psd if you need to change anything. You can print them in your area and it will cost you around 2or 3$ :-)  (oh and i forgot to mention that i will do it for free)
I am back everyone :)

I'll send them on if you need Al, you're basically next door over there.

I've put one by for you Al.  Choose your 'official' label sticker by Arcade:

...or you can have whatever's on the cart, or a custom design.  I've made multiple different 'pulseline' versions myself as well in case red doesn't work.

I might even try a gold cart, like this beauty:

Looks great, but you'll miss the lightshow the N8 offers when it's in use.  I also have a spare Salamander cart I'm going to prep and charge for.

Not sure what to do with these Salamander PCBs now, re-case them in pirate shells?

Putting the Salamander PCBs in new shells would be the best option imo.
You just can't throw them away.  :'(

Wow.

Nice work.

Your talented.

I'd love the sliver and red one. Could you do it with the 2012 date removed? Excuse my ignorance but what's a salamander cart? Never heard of that before.

I'd love it in a cart in the same red as the console or black or white. I reckon it would look amazing in my fami.

update: Well I have officially mangled the last cart I had available to create a shell. When opening it upi snapped the inner tabs again. Damn my big rough hands. Definitely not up to the delicate work.

Salamander (Life Force in the US) has a beautiful transparent shell:

Wow. The salamander shell looks just amazing. Could you put an everdrive sticker on it instead of the salamander sticker or is it permanent.

I really love the look of the salamander cart if the label could be changed.

It's just a label with a transparent background (you can see it in the picture), so it can be peeled off.  I can't believe people would destroy a Salamander cart, though :'(

Thanks for the reply.

I definitely shouldn't be left near it anyway. Ha ha  ;D If it could be printed on a transparent label it reckon it would look amazing. Even a solid label would look amazing. If you still have the salamander cart I'd definitely be interested in it L_E_T

I MAY have one or two prepped Salamander spares ;)

However, these come at a cost and I will not be giving these away for cheap I'm afraid.  I've saved all the PCBs.

On the label  -  I actually can't remove 2012 from Arcade's label as they're printed and in my hands.  I can make you a red cart and will try and do this tonight.  Updates to come...

Will do, should be able to jump on this tonight...

[UPDATE]

Getting there...

As well as a couple Salamander carts, I have a box of successfully opened carts ready to trim and prep for those interested:

One thing I will say is - don't even try this with Jaleco carts, they really shatter under even the slightest pressure.
I had to open all these with my hands because I don't have rubber grips, so it may be possible to avoid breaking them, but I won't try any more Jaleco carts.
They seemed a good choice because most are very cheap, but I have found Namco cases the second easiest to open.

The Salamander carts shells are made of very flexible plastic (translucent side-effect I guess) and took very little effort to open, for those interested in doing this themselves and wary of messing it up.
