Jedi Master Baiter

So the Famicom lasted longer than our NES? :-\

kite200

yes, however the neo geo AES beats the living crap out of the famicom for longevity; the famicom lasted 11 years while the neo geo got a whopping 14 officially supported years from our friends over at SNK

Wasn't Wario's Woods released in December of 1994 in US (though it was released in February in Japan), making that come out 6 months after Takahashi Meijin 4?

If we're talking U.S. NES, then yes Wario's Woods would be last. And you're correct on the date. Wario's Woods is the only NES game with an ESRB rating (K-A, which would be E now...).

In Europe, I think The Lion King was the last official NES game, March 1995.

kite200

Yeah but since the nes was released in 85 and the fami in 1983 the fami is older. you're right though, kris

With a lot of luck, Brandon Cobb and Superfighter TEAM (the team who released Beggar Prince for Genesis last year) maybe get involved with some NES project this year (I seriusly hope that). I have a friend from China (I meet her in Nesdev) she work for a manufacturer of Famicom Games there, and they were releasing some games. I need to write her an email so she can tell me what was the last pirate game who came out.

remember: the longer living system is not the Neo-Geo by our friends at SNK but the Atari 2600 (1977-1ยบ January 1992)

Spectrum have some games released this year.
