Does anyone have one of the NES games with a converter inside of which they can take a few pics? I want to do something for the site about it, but I don't have a way of opening up the carts I have that I suspect have converters inside.

Wait, you have no way of opening them?  If they have security screws on them, then they're definitely not going to have converters in them.  I think you need a flat head screwdriver.

I just want to know the differnts between the Honeybee & the 72 to 62 pin found in the NES carts like Gyromite..The 72 to 62 pin one found in NES carts..Have the label going backwards....

JC

I don't know what you mean by differences, but I imagine there are some in the way they're structured. Other than that, they accomplish the same thing.

madman

They all do the same thing, some just are made differently.

How much does the Honeybee Adapters are worth

JC

Depends on the adaptor, since there were at least five different ones made. I think three gray and two gold. But I'm not sure. The gold usually go for more since they're gold. I'd put the price at between $20 and $50 (on a good day ;) ).

Switchstance

I send a pic to one of you of South-american converters. I think it was to vealchop. But I'm not sure.

Thanks..btw my Super Mario Bro. 3 Cart won't fit in the Adapters in the Gyomite Carts..why is that

Jedi Master Baiter

One thing with the "unofficial" 72->60 pin converters is that all of them seem to be PAL or just don't work with the lockout chip.

Are the Honeybees incompatible as well?

As for the SMB3, is it an official cart?

1) Does the adapter (that allows NES carts work on Famicom console) work on pirated famicoms ?
2) Are there certain adapters that converts the famicom to a European NES and certain ones that converts the famicom to U.S NES ?

madman

1) Yep.
2) Nope, they're the same.  Although keep in mind that Euro NESs use PAL, while US/JAP NES/Famicoms use NTSC.

2) Yes.  I have a PAL only converter that doesn't work on NTSC consoles.
